Today, I contributed to the preparation for the 10th IBDP Convention at Vilnius Lyceum. Together with my friends, we were responsible for decorating two different rooms, each designed to offer a unique and engaging experience for participants.
One room was created as a calm and relaxing space for meditation and straw gardens. We focused on making the atmosphere peaceful by carefully arranging decorations, considering lighting, and ensuring the environment felt comfortable and quiet. The second room was designed for painting, where we aimed to create a more creative and expressive space. Here, we organized materials and decorated the room to inspire participants to engage in artistic activities.
This experience required teamwork, planning, and creativity. We had to coordinate ideas, divide tasks, and work efficiently to complete both rooms on time. It was important to think about how each space would be used and how the decorations could enhance the overall experience for others.
Through this activity, I realized how meaningful service can be when it contributes to a larger event. Even though our role was behind the scenes, it played an important part in creating a positive and memorable experience for participants.
