Today, I continued developing my photography skills by taking winter photos using a vintage Pentax Optio RZ18 camera. My goal was to explore how different camera modes can affect the outcome of photos, especially in a winter setting with snow, light reflections, and contrasting colors.
I experimented with different modes on the camera to capture various aspects of the winter environment. For wider landscape shots, I focused on composition and lighting, trying to capture the brightness of the snow and the overall atmosphere. I also adjusted settings to photograph smaller details, such as textures in the snow and patterns created by light and shadows.
Using a vintage camera made the process more challenging, as I had to think more carefully about each setting and shot. However, this also made the experience more engaging and intentional. I had to adapt to the lighting conditions and experiment with different approaches to get the best results.
LO4: Show commitment and perseverance in CAS experiences – I continued testing different modes and settings to improve my photos.
