Today, I chose to ride my bike instead of driving my car to bring homemade soup to my grandma. In total, I cycled 11.2 kilometers. My goal was to stay physically active while also making a more environmentally friendly choice.
The ride was enjoyable and gave me the opportunity to exercise while helping a family member. Although cycling took more time and effort than driving, it was a rewarding experience. The journey allowed me to enjoy the outdoors and showed me that short trips can often be completed without using a car.
By choosing my bike, I reduced my environmental impact while also improving my physical fitness. It reminded me that small everyday decisions can benefit both my health and the environment. Delivering the soup to my grandma made the activity even more meaningful, as I was able to combine exercise with helping someone in my family.
LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions – Choosing to cycle instead of drive reduced my environmental impact and promoted a more sustainable lifestyle.
