On December 17th, I tried ice skating for the first time at the Town Hall Square in Vilnius. I went with a friend, which made the experience more fun and encouraging, especially since I had never been on ice skates before.
At first, it was quite challenging to keep my balance and glide smoothly. I wobbled a lot and had to hold onto the sides at the beginning, but I kept practicing and gradually felt more confident moving across the ice. Falling a few times was part of the learning process, and each attempt taught me how to adjust my posture and steps to improve my stability.
Spending time on the ice with a friend made the experience enjoyable and motivating. We encouraged each other and laughed at our mistakes. By the end of the session, I could skate a short distance without holding onto the sides, which felt like a big achievement for my first time.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken – Ice skating for the first time was physically and mentally challenging, but I pushed myself to keep trying.
