On the 3rd of October, I challenged myself to climb 60 floors on the StairMaster – a machine I have always struggled with. In the past, I would run out of breath quickly and often stop halfway through. I’ve always found this particular exercise especially tough because it demands both endurance and mental focus.
However, I wanted to push my limits and see how far I could go without giving up. I started off at a steady pace, focusing on my breathing and maintaining consistency rather than speed. The first 20 floors were manageable, but by the time I reached 40, my legs were burning, and I had to remind myself why I was doing this — to improve my stamina and prove to myself that I could overcome a personal challenge.
LO2 – I demonstrated perseverance and commitment by pushing myself to complete 60 floors on the StairMaster, even though it was a challenge I have always struggled with.
Finishing all 60 floors felt incredibly rewarding. It reminded me that progress often starts with small steps. Now I feel more motivated to keep training and improve my cardiovascular fitness. My next goal is to climb 100 floors without stopping — something that seemed impossible before, but now feels achievable with discipline and persistence.
