On January 15th, I had the opportunity to participate in my school’s,Vilnius Lyceum’s, 35th birthday celebration by performing as a drummer in a band. This experience allowed me to contribute my musical skills to a school event and support the community in a meaningful way.
Playing with the band required preparation, focus, and coordination with other musicians. We rehearsed together multiple times to ensure the performance was cohesive, and during the event, I had to stay attentive to the rhythm and dynamics of the music while responding to the live atmosphere. Performing in front of an audience was both exciting and challenging, but it was incredibly rewarding to see everyone enjoy the music.
Through this experience, I developed my teamwork and communication skills, as successful performance depended on listening to others and adjusting my playing in real time. I also learned the value of using my skills to contribute to community events, creating a sense of shared celebration and joy.
