On November 8th, 2025, I dedicated time to developing a new creative skill: learning how to take photographs using a camera. Although I had previously taken casual photos on my phone, this was the first time I intentionally explored photography as an art form.
At the beginning, even the technical side felt new — adjusting focus, exposure, and shutter speed required patience and experimentation. I realised very quickly that photography is not just “point and click”; every setting influences the mood and clarity of the image. I practiced taking photos in different lighting conditions and from different angles, learning how small adjustments can completely change the outcome.
This experience helped me recognise how creativity is often connected to curiosity and practice. Photography gave me a new way to interpret the world visually and express emotions and ideas without words. I also realised how satisfying it can be to improve through experimentation rather than following a rigid formula.
Overall, this Creativity experience strengthened my appreciation for art, observation, and patience — and showed me how powerful a camera can be when used thoughtfully.
LO2 – I undertook a new creative challenge and developed new skills by learning how to use a camera, experimenting with settings, and improving my ability to take intentional and well-composed photos.
