Today, I contributed to my school community by helping with the entrance exams to Vilnius Lyceum. My role was to invigilate the exam, supervise the students, give instructions, and assist in carrying out the exam procedures.
This experience required responsibility, attention, and clear communication. I had to ensure that students understood the instructions, followed the rules, and completed the exam in a fair and organized environment. Staying focused throughout the session was important, as even small mistakes could affect the process.
I also had to remain calm and professional, especially when students had questions or seemed nervous. Observing how stressed some students were reminded me of the importance of creating a supportive and structured atmosphere. By being attentive and clear in my communication, I helped make the exam environment more organized and less stressful.
Through this experience, I learned that service can involve responsibility and trust. Being in a role where I had to guide others and ensure fairness helped me develop leadership and organizational skills. It also gave me a new perspective on how exams are managed and the importance of maintaining integrity in academic settings.
LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions – I ensured fairness, honesty, and academic integrity during the exam process.
