Today, I participated in the first online Revision Village Student Panel Meeting. This meeting brought together IB students to share their experiences and perspectives on studying, revising information, and the use of AI in learning. It was a valuable opportunity to contribute my ideas while also learn from others.
During the meeting, we discussed different study methods and revision techniques. I shared my own strategies and listened to how other students approach their learning. This allowed me to reflect on my habits and consider new ways to improve my efficiency and understanding.
We also talked about the use of AI in education, including both its advantages and disadvantages. While AI can support learning by providing quick explanations and resources, we also discussed concerns such as over-reliance and the importance of maintaining independent thinking. Additionally, we reflected on the RV system, identifying both its benefits and areas where it could be improved.
This experience required active participation, communication, and openness to different perspectives. Being part of a discussion where everyone contributed ideas helped create a collaborative and respectful environment.
LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance – Discussing AI in education highlighted an important global topic affecting students worldwide.
